Ignacio is a violinist specialised in historically informed performance. He received a Masters Degree in Musicology and Early Music Performance in Barcelona with professor Manfredo Kraemer, also receiving advice from professors like Emilio Moreno, Pedro Memelsdorff or Andrew Ackerman. He later continues his training as a pupil of Enrico Onofri in the Conservatorio Superiore di Palermo.

He has attended several seminars in the Fondazione Giorgio Cini supervised by Pedro Memelsdorff and coached by renowned musicians such as Amandine Beyer, Vivica Genaux or Eduardo López Banzo. Throughout his training years, he has also studied with professors such as Sergei Fatkulin, Ana Comesaña or Polina Kotliarskaya. As a string quartet player he received also training from the Cuarteto Quiroga, and became a student in the European Chamber Music Academy with teachers like Hatto Beyerle or Johannes Meissel, making his debut in the Palau de la Música Catalana within the “Primer Palau” season.

He has repeatedly been invited as guest conductor to the Camerata de Murcia, and he has also been on several occasions concertmaster and soloist in the youth orchestra of the Academia Montis Regalis and in the ESMuC baroque orchestra. He has also appeared as concertmaster with the Orquestra Barroca Catalana, the Nereydas orchestra or the Íliber Ensemble, and as a soloist with La Madrileña orchestra, recording the Concerto for 2 violins by Mauro D’Alai along with Maxim Kosinov. Being concertmaster of Camerata Antonio Soler, he has recorded, among several other works from the iberian classical era, the Sinfonia Concertante nr. 3 for two violins by Gaetano Brunetti (Lindoro) as a soloist along with violinist Lina Tur. He collaborates regularly with groups such as Le Concert des Nations (Jordi Savall), La Real Cámara (Emilio Moreno), Arlequin Philosophe (Pedro Memelsdorff), Bachcelona Consort or L’Estro d’Orfeo (Leonor de Lera); and has collaborated with Pulcinella Ensemble (Ophélie Gaillard), Academia Montis Regalis (Alessandro de Marchi), Cappella Mediterranea (Leonardo G. Alarcón), Il Pomo d’Oro, Canto Fiorito, Jove Capella Capella Reial de Catalunya, Los Mvsicos De Sv Alteza, Orquestra Barroca Catalana, Harmonia del Parnàs, La Spagna, L'Arcàdia, La Madrileña, La Guirlande, Dichos Diabolos, Delirivm Musica, Il Gesto Armonico, Conjunt Atria or Jeune Orchestre de l'Abbaye aux Dames. Furthermore, he has been invited as musical coach to the Universidad de Murcia and to the Florida International University.

He has had the chance to give a concert playing the Stradivarius Palatinos within the XXXVI Chamber Music Season in the Royal Palace of Madrid, along with the ensemble La Real Cámara under the direction of Emilio Moreno.

He is currently member of the ensemble La Vaghezza, prizewinner in several international competitions, and he is also founder member of the ensemble The Ministers of Pastime.
